The Spencer family are well known in Northamptonshire and Warwickshire as sheep farmers. I think the most famous person to come from the family would be DianaPrincess of Wales. 23 October 2013 her grandson Prince George  was christened at St James Palace. None of the Spencer family attended.

My theory is that through researching the family of Gulliver and Knightley that they married well over the years hoping to get into the royal family and produce an heir to the throne. This the family have done with Diana Princess of Wales marrying Prince Charles and having two sons. Prince William and Prince Harry.Diana `s family tree can be traced back the Gulliver family who came over with William the Conqueror in 1066. They was given many manors for helping the future King William   Prince William son Prince George .One day he to will be the King of England. Prince William and his future heirs have a little bit of Gulliver blood in their veins. Many books have been written about the Spencer family including books by Charles Earl Spencer of Althorp. His last child to be born holds the name of Charlotte Diana Spencer But none about the rivalry to succeed to the throne of England. I am happy that Diana`s son WILLIAM and her grandson GEORGE will both be King of England one day.

May 2nd 2015  the birth of the second child of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge . A daughter a PRINCESS .Charlotte Elizabeth Diana .

Now there are two CHARLOTTE in the Spencer family both carrying the Diana the name of the PRINCESS OF WALES

While researching the Spencer family I found a very large family lived in and around Banbury and Leicester area. More work will have to be done to see if they are connected to Earl Spencer family.

I  found someone with the first name of Spencer in remembrance of his late grandmother Evelyn Spencer. This is a Leicestershire family. The original family of Spencer was called La D Spencer named after a job of serving people .While looking up on Ancestry.co.uk .I found that some members of the family had moved from Northamptonshire to Bedfordshire and on to Loughborough Leicestershire. This was of great help to me.
