The Stanton / Staunton family lived at Wolverton hall Warwickshire.
The hall is now owned by Nicholas Coleridge.
This is the story of the family and my personal connection to the Stanton family.
My great x4 grandmother on my grandfather Fred Gulliver`s side of the family. She was Elizabeth Stanton born 1748 in Radstone Northamptonshire daughter of William Stanton of Helmdon Northamptonshire. Elizabeth married Thomas Middleton in 1772. Their son named Simon[john] Middleton. He married Mary Weed.Joanna Middleton married John Gulliver, their son Charles Gulliver , farmer and lay preacher of the Methodist Church. Northamptonshire. Charles and Marys son was Fred Gulliver.
Our family tree has been traced back to Richard Stanton 1525-1553 of Ambrosden Oxfordshire .more research has to be done on the family.
From Fab Pedigree web site i have been able to trace Walter Washington, daughter Katherine Washington , she married Thomas Stanton.
Katherine and Thomas great x11.grand daughter was Marilyn Monroe 1926-1962. the famous american actress.
